For the poem Fairy Light Lingerie:

I wish I had some fairy light lingerie:
a red bulb-rope to wrap around me
in our darkened room.

I’d lie there – a radiating x-ray
over the covers – each flash revealing
a breast, a thigh, a V of hair.

I’d wait like a supine sex ad,
swathed in a glitz of blinking bulbs,
for you to come and unwrap.
